Our Fair Pricing Policy

We operate a fair pricing policy because we like to be open and upfront.

Prices Quoted In Advance

All our prices are quoted and agreed in advance before we do any work so there’s no nasty surprises, only pleasant ones.

Phone Quotes

For most common heating, plumbing and gas work we can quote over the phone. We let you know the price when you call or if a site visit is required.

Out Of Hours

Whilst we are available 24/7, you can expect to pay more if you want us to come out of hours, like in the middle of the night or bank holidays.

Diagnosis Fee

Sometimes we have to do a diagnosis to discover what is faulty or where a leak might be coming from, and we charge by the hour for this. This is included in our minimum charge which is a 1 Hour charge and includes looking over the equipment or situation to assess the situation.

Multiple Faults

Sometimes, there may be more than one problem to fix and until the first problem we find is fixed we don’t know the existence of a second or third (or fourth) problem.

Most of the time we can foresee this and we let you know if we suspect this to be the case.

Minimum Call Out Fee

Our minimum call out fee is £79.00 +VAT

Boiler Service Fees

Our boiler servicing package cost between £48.50 to £180.00 +VAT, depending on make, model and type of boilers (gas, fire or water heater).

Large Projects

For larger projects we give free site visits quotes and/or estimates.

Cancellation Fees

If you do book us for a call out and you aren’t there when we arrive then we charge a cancellation fee.

If someone at your home falls ill or has COVID symptoms (namely cough or fever), then you need to let us know ASAP, to cancel the visit and avoid a cancellation fee.

Our cancellation fee is £39.50 + VAT.

Out of hours cancellation fee is £79.00 +VAT.

 

Our Fair Pricing Structure

Our pricing structure is be based on either:

  1. A time and materials basis calculated on current rates and prices of Advanced Heating & Plumbing Ltd
  2. A fixed Price Quotation, quoted in advance of work.
  3. Time and materials. Labour Charges are calculated from the point of arrival at the customer’s premises to the point of finishing the work and are calculated on an hourly basis to the next hour however much time has elapsed into the next hour. Chargeable time will include time used collecting parts from suppliers, whether collected on route to customers premises or collected during the work.
  4. Minimum labour charge. Advanced Heating & Plumbing Ltd shall charge a minimum labour charge during normal working hours of one hour.
  5. Charging Period. Where charging rates overlap, the rate charge shall increase or decrease according for the relevant periods.
  6. Materials and part changes. Parts and fittings stocked on Advanced Heating & Plumbing Ltd vans shall be charged at the current selling list prices of Advanced Heating & Plumbing Ltd and shall not be subject to any discount except by way of confirmed written agreement. Materials collected from merchants shall be charged at cost price plus handling charge, any special delivery charges.
  7. Fixed price quotations. A fixed price quotation shall be provided in writing or a fixed price will be agreed on site and written in on the job report sheet or invoice and signed by the customer.
