What happens with a new boiler installation:

We agree a date and time for your new boiler installation to suit your schedule.

On the day

On the day, we will call you when our boiler engineer is on their way, so that you can be ready for their arrival.


Our electric and gas boiler installer will arrive at the agreed time, show identification and be wearing our official Advanced Heating & Plumbing uniform.

Your new gas or electric boiler installation is typically completed within a day, to full Building Regulation Standards and include Local Authority Certification and Registration.


Ongoing Maintenance for your New Boiler Installation

Once your new boiler is installed, our engineer will suggest maintenance tips and suggestions for your new central heating system. Manufacturers usually require you to have your new boiler installation serviced annually to keep valid their warranty and we can provide this for you. If you would like to discuss ongoing annual boiler service to ensure your boiler doesn’t fall out of warranty, please let the engineer know and he will provide a no-obligation quote; we also provide boiler repair services for if you encounter any issues.


How do I know what boiler I need?

We will assess your requirements, lifestyle, home size and system needs and then make our recommendations

How long does it take to replace my boiler?

In most cases, we offer a same day service. We typically complete work with a day. If it suits you better, we can install your new boiler over a two days period to fit in with your schedule and commitments.

Do I have to be there?

You may leave our engineers to work on their own, knowing that your home will be respected and treated as such during the work. We can provide key collection, if necessary.

How much disruption to my home will it cause?

We take every care and precaution to leave your home in the same condition we found it. Wherever possible , we take reasonable measures to ensure that any disruption is minimal.

Will I need to upgrade my gas supply?

Depending on how old your existing boiler is, the new boiler may need a substantially larger gas supply, as new boilers tend to use gas at a faster rate. Upgrading your gas supply also depends on how many other gas appliances you have.

The gas supply in some cases needs to be made larger from the gas meter to the boiler to accommodate increased consumption, especially if a bigger boiler is being installed that requires a larger amount of Kilowatts.

Be assured that we have the knowledge and expertise to be able to advise whether this is necessary.

Will you flush the central heating system out?

Yes, we flush the heating system out before installing your new boiler. This is inline with current manufacturer’s guidelines for their extended guarantees.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes, we will arrange the registrations with your Local Authority and Gas-Safe Register. The buildings regulation certificate will be posted direct to you soon after the installation work is complete.

A certificate can only be provided once the boiler has been installed and commissioned by a competent and qualified gas safe registered installer, like us.

Do I need to have a Magnaclean filter fitted?

It’s not mandatory to have a Magnaclean filter fitter. However, to protect your new boiler we highly recommend a Magnaclean filter. The Magnaclean filter protects your new boiler. Without this device debris within the system may damage the working parts of the boiler.

It also helps prevent blockages in heat exchangers and (most importantly) prolongs the life of your boiler. Great Invention!

Should I fit a limescale reducer?

Yes, we recommend fitting a lime scale reducer. The south east of England inherently has hard water which results in limescale which over time impairs the performance and life of boilers (and all appliances that use water). So fitting a limescale reducer greatly prolongs the life of your boiler and sustains high performance.

How long is the guarantee?

We supply you with a manufacturer’s guarantee which is between 1 – 10 years depending on make, model and type of boiler.
